Blommenholm Industrier has been investing in early-stage startups since 2020. The core aim is to enhance understanding of evolving trends in the media sector and assist Schibsted in exploring opportunities beyond their primary investment mandate. Blommenholm Industrier's investments are specifically targeted towards early-stage startups in the media technology sector, concentrating on specific categories within the content lifecycle, including content creation, discovery and distribution, consumption, and monetisation.
We typically invest at the pre-seed and seed stage, and our check size ranges from 1-5MNOK, plus reserves for follow-ons. We focus on companies based in Norway and Sweden. Blommenholm doesn't usually lead investments but prefers to join a syndicate with a lead in place.
The Investment Committee decides upon investment proposals, comprised of members Karl-Christian Agerup, Chief of Investment Strategy and Operations at Antler & Board Chair Schibsted ASA and Eddie Sjølie, CEO Finn.no .
Nicklas Stavnar manages the early-stage venture fund.
