Our approach

Blommenholm Industrier has been investing in early-stage startups since 2020. The core aim was to enhance understanding of evolving trends in the media sector and assist Schibsted in exploring opportunities beyond their primary investment mandate. Blommenholm Industrier's investments specifically targeted early-stage startups in the media technology sector, concentrating on specific categories within the content lifecycle, including content creation, discovery and distribution, consumption, and monetisation. Focus on companies based in Norway and Sweden

We have typically invested at the pre-seed and seed stage, and our check size ranges from 1-5MNOK, plus reserves for follow-ons. Blommenholm has usually not lead investments, but has preferred joining a syndicate with a lead in place.

For the time being we have decided not to actively invest in new startups, but rather focus on our current portfolio of companies.
